Our Story

Qavah Children’s Ministry was born out of compassion and a calling to make a difference. In 2015, Thadius encountered the harsh realities faced by many orphaned and vulnerable children across different parts of Uganda—children lacking basic needs, care, and a sense of belonging.

What began as a burden in his heart soon became a step of faith. Refusing to look away, Thadius chose to respond. With a vision to bring hope and restoration, Qavah Children’s Ministry was established.

The name Qavah comes from a Hebrew word meaning to wait with expectation, to hope, and to trust in God. This meaning reflects the journey of the ministry itself—trusting God through every challenge and believing for a brighter future for every child.

Through the support of generous partners and sponsors, what started as a simple vision has grown into a living mission—reaching children, restoring hope, and transforming lives.

Today, Qavah continues to stand as a beacon of hope, reminding every child that their story is not defined by their circumstances, but by the purpose and future God has for them.

Our Vision

About the Founder

Thady
Thady

Prophet Thaddeus Wananzusi was called by God to serve as a messenger and prophet, a calling that deepened in 2016 through a powerful encounter with God. From a young age, he reached out to vulnerable families in his community, preaching the Word of God, delivering messages from God, and providing guidance and support to those in need.

In 2024, during a season of personal challenge, he met a Spirit-filled mentor who revived his vision and strengthened his purpose. Together, they committed to caring for the vulnerable, especially children and families facing extreme hardship.

Recognizing the urgent needs in his community, including malnutrition, disease, and lack of access to education, Prophet Thaddeus began supporting orphans, widows, teenage mothers, and children with disabilities. Through this work, he became known as Apuuli, the Guardian Angel, and his vision grew into the foundation of Qavah Children’s Ministries.

Since its inception, Qavah Ministries has provided essential support to children and families, including food, clothing, educational materials, and a safe place to call home. The ministry also addresses girls’ health and hygiene needs, and offers guidance and care to families in distress, bringing hope and stability to those who need it most.

Prophet Thaddeus also launched a church ministry in December 2025, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, offering discipleship, deliverance sessions, and prophetic guidance. Through his work, Qavah Ministries continues to grow, reaching more children and families across Uganda, transforming lives and providing opportunities for a brighter future.

There is still much work to be done, and your support can help Qavah Ministries continue its mission of care, education, and empowerment.
